New Features and Enhancements

School/District Administrator Dashboard: For now, only Exploros can configure a user as a school administrator.
  • By selecting a school from the left menu, the school administrator can see a school summary view, showing how many teachers are teaching how many experiences to how many students in the school.
  • The School Admin sees the data for all the teachers who have chosen the corresponding school in their account settings.

Teacher Summary Report for School Administrator:
  • This report is available from the School Admin's reports tab.
  • It shows a fully sortable table, detailing which experiences each teacher taught, when taught, to which class, and to how many students.
  • The administrator can click an experience in the table to the Ended experience for review.
The report also shows a graph of all the teachers in the school and how many experiences they have taught. Clicking a teacher's bar chart or name will filter the table to show that teacher's experiences.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed the regression preventing a teacher from cloning a purchased master
  • Improvements in various user notifications, including new notifications and new information in existing notifications
  • Various fixes in the license administrator functionality

New Features and Enhancements

License Administration: Once someone is identified in the system as a License Admin, he or she has access to the following features:

  • License View, accessed from the left pane menu. The License Admin can see a summary of how many teachers are currently teaching how many licensed experiences to how many students. The Admin can also review all Ended licensed experiences.
  • Class Roster and License View, accessed from the license details. The Admin can see the seat count for the license and its expiration date. The main table lists all the licensed classes (including classes that were licensed in the past), the teacher associated with each class, the number of students in it, and its current license status. The columns can be sorted by clicking the column headers.

The Admin can click a specific class to view the roster and to add or remove the license from the class.

  • Student CSV Import, accessed from the license details. The Admin can create multiple new classes associated with teachers under the same subscription plan, and populate them with new student accounts by filling out and uploading a formatted CSV file. Once the process is complete, the Admin can choose to send emails with the import details to all the teachers for whom classes were created.
  • License Pack and Reports. The Admin has access to the Pack and Reports associated with the license. These reports are not yet available.

Bug Fixes

Google Class Import:
  • Existing students are now correctly added to the teacher's All Students list upon import.
  • Multiple classes no longer appear for students if an existing class was imported again.
  • Existing classes are no longer displayed as available for import.
Other Fixes:
  • Various error notifications issues have been fixed.
  • Password Reset issues have been resolved.
  • Student “Connect to Teacher” issues have been resolved.
  • The teacher code and profile image now display properly.

New Features and Enhancements

  • Licensing: For publisher or Exploros subscription collections, licenses can now be assigned to specific users upon sign up using subscription tokens. Each subscription is associated with a plan (collection of masters visible only to licensed classes), a school, and a contact person. Each license has a limited number of seats and an expiration date. A license can be added to specific classes upon creation, import, or when editing class settings, and the seat count is updated per number of students on the roster of all the licensed classes using the same token. A licensed class can have a class-level pack.
  • Experience placeholder Assigned card: A placeholder experience card appears under the Assigned tab whenever a user is in the app and has no active experiences.
  • Student Management removed from the Authoring Tool: The student management functionality was moved to the app, so it has been removed from the Authoring Tool. This is one step on the roadmap to integrating the app and the Authoring Tool.
  • pivotEd Authoring: A new Authoring Tool URL was created specifically for pivotEd users (http://authoring-capstone.exploros.com). Licensed pivotEd users can create their own masters and push them to the pivotEd app, and they can clone and edit masters purchased from the pivotEd library.

Bug Fixes

  • Google Classroom import: Numerous bugs fixed.
  • Note in an assigned experience is no longer visible to the student; it is a private annotation for the teacher.

New Features and Enhancements

  • In-app student management allows teachers to manage their student roster from within the app. The feature includes:
    • Roster: Teachers can set up and edit class rosters, including multi-student add or remove from the class or from the All Students list (removing the link between the student and the teacher altogether). Teachers can also change student passwords from the roster.
    • Student Import: For cases where students do not have school-based email accounts, teachers can import a student roster by copying and pasting a list, adding the student information manually, or downloading a formatted CSV file and importing it once its filled. Exploros automatically creates the student accounts and adds them to the class.
    • SSO notification: Exploros has developed a Student Single Sign On Best Practices policy, available from the Student Import screen.

Bug Fixes

  • Session timeout: Erratic behavior has been resolved, now appearing much smoother and cleaner.
  • Graphic Organizer: Students can now edit their posts without a workaround.
  • User management in authoring tool: The student list is sortable; click the header of the desired sort key.
  • Profile image updates properly when signing in as a different user on a single device.
  • Teacher Note: Erroneous tool tip removed.
  • iPad, Safari, private mode: User can now log on to Exploros.

New Features and Enhancements

  • Ended experiences that have no student work are now archived and do not appear in the Ended experiences list, in order to reduce clutter in the list.
  • Disconnection notifications have been improved across the app for various use cases, such as timeouts or multiple logins.

Bug Fixes

  • Horizontal rows of profile images: For elements such as the Graphic Organizer, when the number of students posting exceeds the space to display all profile images in a single row, the overflow profile images now properly align in a second row.
  • Drag-drop editing: Students can now do multiple edits without the element sticking.
  • Profile image display: Minor display bugs fixed so that the images display properly.

New Features and Enhancements

  • Account settings have been restructured for better organization and new features. There are now three tabs:
    • Profile for setting title (teachers only), name, and profile image
    • School (teacher only) to link account to school
    • Credentials for reviewing username and resetting password (for accounts not linked to Google)
  • The Settings menu now also displays the private teacher code and links to the Exploros Help and Updates page.
  • Class settings have new Grade and Subject attributes, which are also part of the class creation flow.
  • Lazy loading was added to Ended experiences. For teachers, 10 ended experiences display at a time, and for administrators 50 experiences display. Users can click the “Show more” button to load 10 additional experiences.
  • Experience cards in teacher view display a progress bar and a student counter showing the number of students who have entered the experience/number of invited students.
  • Default profile picture helps the teacher identify students with no profile picture. In this case, Exploros displays the first letters of the student’s first and last names against a background color.
  • Named thumbnails for interactive elements where the profile images for students who have submitted an answer appear along the top of the element (drag-drop, graphic organizer, draw) and the student name is not displayed alongside the profile image. Users can now click on any student thumbnail to display the student name below the thumbnail line. This helps users identify who posted the given response.

Bug Fixes

  • Authoring user management: Issues affecting student account import within the Authoring Tool have been fixed and substantial performance enhancements have been implemented.
  • The regression affecting the display of pack materials in legacy experiences has been fixed.
